by There are several projects of off-road models in the history of ZAZ that were never realized. Another prototype was recently discovered by activists from the Ukrainian Cars community. 
The photo shows a conceptual compact SUV in the style of Tavria. It has a chopped design and a familiar front part layout. It is known that the ZAZ prototype was developed in the 1980s for the Lutsk Automobile Plant.
This is how they saw the future LuAZ-1301 in Zaporizhzhia. However, in Lutsk, as known, a different prototype was ultimately chosen. In Zaporizhzhia, they decided not to develop the model on their own. The collaboration between the two enterprises is not surprising, as every LuAZ used units from various ZAZ models.
