by Ukrainian motorists prefer diesel models more. According to statistics from “Ukravtoprom”, half of the 496,5 thousand new and used cars registered in 2019 are equipped with diesels. Interestingly, 88% of diesel cars are used. 
The share of gasoline cars is 39% (191,8 thousand units) and here the situation is diametrically opposite – 57% of them are new. Ukrainians also bought 39 thousand cars with LPG (8% of the total), 5,5 thousand of which are new.
Hybrids in Ukraine accounted for 2% of all purchased cars (60% of them are used), and electric vehicles – 1% (92% – used). The most popular models with different engines became known:
New cars:

- LPG – Renault Logan
- hybrids – Toyota RAV4
- electric vehicles – Jaguar I-Pace
Used cars:
- gasoline, diesel, and LPG – Volkswagen Passat
