If anyone knows cool cars, it’s Jeremy Clarkson. He often creates his own ratings of the best and worst cars, and his car collection commands respect. We have selected the most notable cars owned by the Top Gear and The Grand Tour host.
Alfa Romeo GTV6
Clarkson owned an Alfa Romeo coupe in his youth, and then acquired the same GTV6 after filming an episode of The Grand Tour.
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Clarkson owned a sports car with a 4.2-liter, 380-horsepower V8 for a long time and considered it the best in its class.
BMW 3.0 CSL
The BMW E9 has already become a classic, and Clarkson’s garage houses its special lightweight CSL version, nicknamed the Batmobile for its distinctive aerodynamics. Only 1265 of these cars were made, but Jeremy bought a CSL before their prices skyrocketed.
Ferrari F355
The Ferrari F355 was one of the best cars in its class in the ’90s. Jeremy Clarkson decided to buy a Ferrari 355 almost immediately after a test drive.
Ford Escort RS Cosworth
The extreme four-wheel-drive Ford Escort appeared before the Subaru Impreza STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo.
Ford GT
A whole story is associated with Clarkson and the Ford GT.
Jeremy literally fell in love with the Ford supercar and had to wait in line to buy it. However, after just a month, he sold the car: it turned out to be fuel-hungry, too wide for Britain, and with faulty electronics.
Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder
The Lamborghini Gallardo convertible was often used by Jeremy Clarkson’s wife.
McLaren 675 LT
The extreme McLaren supercar appeared in Clarkson’s collection after signing a contract with Amazon to film The Grand Tour.
Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG Black Series
Clarkson had several Mercedes-AMG cars, but the most extreme of them is, of course, the CLK55 Black Series. However, this did not stop the TV presenter from using it as an everyday car.
Volkswagen Golf GTI
Over time, the role of an everyday car for Clarkson was fulfilled by the more economical and practical Golf GTI.
Volvo XC90
The first Volvo crossover is, according to Clarkson, the best family car. He owned several XC90s.
Lotus Elise
The compact British roadster is impossible not to love due to its excellently tuned chassis.
