A rare 1985 BMW 323i in an E30 body with only 260 km on the odometer has appeared for sale in Europe. The car is called a true “time capsule” as it has been preserved in practically factory condition. This is reported by the auto blogger “Roma Urraco”.
The model has changed owners and countries of sale several times in recent years.
1985 BMW 323i E30: History and Price
A few years ago, the car was offered in the Netherlands for approximately 40,000 euros (about $43,000 or 1.7 million UAH).
In 2022, the coupe appeared in Austria with a price of 120,000 euros. Later, the price was reduced to 69,990 euros. In January of this year, the car was sold to Germany for approximately 63,000 euros, which is about $68,000 or 2.7 million UAH.
The car was initially sold new in Germany.
Rare BMW E30: Specifications and Equipment
The BMW 323i is equipped with an inline six-cylinder M20B23 engine with a displacement of 2.3 liters and a Bosch L-Jetronic injection system. The unit’s power is 150 hp.
The car received a sporty 5-speed manual transmission, a locking rear differential, and front Recaro sport seats.
The curb weight is 1110 kg. The top speed reaches 204 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds.
Judging by the photos, the car has been preserved almost unchanged: the factory protective wax remains on the underbody elements and suspension, and all factory stickers and tags are in their places.
