A rare specimen of the GAZ-3110 Volga, which has traveled only 2121 kilometers over more than two decades of operation, has been put up for sale. The asking price for the car is $3800 (approximately 170 thousand UAH). The unusual sedan spent almost all this time in a garage, so it can be called a true “time capsule.” Roma Urraco writes about this.
GAZ-3110 Volga: why this car has such low mileage
According to the author of the publication, the car was purchased in the early 2000s but was never registered with the state. For some time, the sedan was used with transit license plates, after which it sat in a garage for many years without being driven.
It is this story that explains the extremely low mileage – only 2121 kilometers. Now the owner has decided to sell the car, valuing it at $3800.
GAZ-3110 Volga: specifications and history of the model
The GAZ-3110 was produced from 1997 to 2004 and was the successor to the GAZ-31029 model. In fact, the car was another modernization of the Volga family, whose design dates back to developments from the 1960s.
Under the hood of this specimen is a gasoline 2.45-liter ZMZ-402 engine producing 100 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
The author of the publication notes that the model failed to gain great popularity due to its outdated design, poor build quality and materials, as well as weak body resistance to corrosion. At the same time, a significant number of new GAZ-3110s sold in Ukraine were produced at the “KrymavtoGAZ” plant in Simferopol. That is why such cars are still often found on the Ukrainian market today, although specimens with such low mileage are extremely rare.
