In Canada, a nearly new 2008 Dodge Viper ACR Hardcore with only 24 km on the odometer has been put up for sale. The car has never been registered, never undergone pre-sale preparation, and, according to the owner, has never once been driven on public roads. This is reported by “Carscoops”.
The listing appeared on the Viper Club of America Facebook page. The car was stored in a climate-controlled facility. The factory protective films remain on the body, and the original price sticker is still attached to the windshield.
2008 Dodge Viper ACR Hardcore: Technical Specifications
Under the hood is a naturally aspirated 8.4-liter V10 producing 600 hp (447 kW) and 759 Nm of torque. The model is not equipped with modern electronic assistants: it lacks stability control and traction control systems.
At the time of its release, the base price was just under $115,000. Adjusted for inflation, that is equivalent to over $174,000 today. Currently, the seller is asking $185,000, which is approximately 7.4 million UAH.
Hardcore Package: What distinguishes the rare version
The Hardcore package was track-oriented. The air conditioning, audio system, amplifier, trunk carpeting, hood sound insulation, and even the tire inflator were removed from the car. This allowed for a weight reduction of 18 kg.
In return, the model received advanced aerodynamics that generates up to 454 kg of downforce at a speed of 241 km/h. This is approximately ten times more than a standard Viper SRT-10 at the same speed.
Only 245 units of the Viper ACR were produced in 2009. The version with the Hardcore package constitutes an even smaller portion of this volume. At the same time, due to long-term storage without use, the car may require technical maintenance, including the replacement of seals.
