Lamborghini Chief Reveals the Secrets of the Fenomeno Model’s Success

Lamborghini Fenomeno Presentation

The Lamborghini Fenomeno debuted at Monterey Car Week, impressing with its characteristics. The car is limited to just 30 units and is positioned as the brand’s most powerful model. It combines features of the Revuelto with updated functions. A company representative reveals the details of the creation of this hypercar.

Technical Features

The Fenomeno is the most powerful production Lamborghini with an engine producing 1065 hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds. The top speed is 350 km/h. It is a rare version of the Revuelto, but with significant differences, as explained by the head of the V12 line, Matteo Ortenzi.

First of all, we chose a passive suspension, driver-oriented. We used specific, sporty tires, a carbon-ceramic braking system with floating discs, as well as innovative electronics with advanced sensors that measure lateral, longitudinal, and vertical acceleration.

Electronic Systems and Responsiveness

The sensors are faster than standard and are directly linked to the braking control and stability control units. This ensures a faster reaction time: they anticipate the driver’s actions. The car orients itself towards the driver’s future actions, becoming lighter and more responsive. Ortenzi emphasizes that the result is a much more dynamic car even compared to the Revuelto.

The Future of the V12

Lamborghini does not plan to compete with Ferrari with a new non-hybrid V12, but the possibilities for this are now greater. Ortenzi clarified that the lifespan of the V12 is no longer limited to 2030. Previously, regulators caused concern, but now the brand plans to use the V12 even after that date.

For us, the horizon is now even beyond 2030. It is part of the Revuelto’s character, we love the engine’s responsiveness, it is our hallmark, so we don’t want to change it. Hybridization is basically a lifesaver for the Lamborghini V12 at the moment. It allows us to comply with legislation, especially regarding CO2 and emissions, which would be difficult without such technology.

Brand Prospects

These new details provide insight into the future of the Italian brand. Without a doubt, it can use the same developments for future ‘few-off’ models or create unique versions of the Temerario or Urus. Although Lamborghini has not announced anything yet, it could happen later.

Lamborghini’s decision to focus on hybrid technologies to preserve the V12 demonstrates adaptation to modern challenges while maintaining its iconic identity. This could become a model for other manufacturers facing similar regulatory requirements, showing that innovation can be combined with tradition.
