First Images of the New EV4 GT
Kia has released the first images of the upcoming EV4 GT model, which will be launched on the market in 2026. This version of the electric hatchback was shown with a special camouflage coating that barely conceals its exterior design.
The main features of the model are:
Improved Exterior Details
Under the camouflage, the EV4 GT retains a shape close to the existing GT-Line trim, with minor differences. At the front, the model receives vertical slits in the lower bumper, giving it a more aggressive look. On the side, diamond-cut wheels hide neon brake calipers, and the rear features a GT-specific diffuser with a central vertical LED light. This resembles the updated EV6 GT crossover, indicating a family resemblance.
Kia has not yet published interior photos, but preliminary shots show more sporty bucket seats with neon accents.
Technical Specifications
The real changes will happen under the hood. Sources report an all-wheel drive system with two engines that will produce approximately 400 horsepower, along with simulated manual gear shifting and an artificial rev limiter for a more exciting ride. The power source will likely be the familiar 81.4 kWh battery from the front-wheel-drive version with a long range.
In accordance with the GT philosophy, the EV4 GT will receive special chassis tuning, including stiffer suspension and a faster steering ratio for more precise handling and lively response on winding roads.

Competitors and GT’s Future
The Korean model’s competitors will include electric hatchbacks such as the VW ID.3 GTX, Cupra Born VZ, and MG 4 X Power. It will also indirectly compete with thermal hatchbacks such as the VW Golf R and Toyota GR Corolla. Hyundai is also working on its own zero-emission model, the Ioniq 3 N.
Kia has confirmed that every future GT model will be fully electric, making the current K5 GT the last sports model in the lineup with an internal combustion engine.
This step by Kia highlights the growing competition in the electric hatchback segment, where traditional thermal cars are gradually giving way to innovative electric solutions. Given the technical specifications and design, the EV4 GT could become a serious player in the market, combining speed, environmental friendliness, and modern technologies to meet the needs of car enthusiasts.
