The brand Kia showcased its largest electric vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show – the 7-seater crossover EV9. However, it is still just a concept, but soon it will become a production model. The commercial version will debut in 2022, and in 2023 the novelty will be at the dealers.

The EV9 is 4930 mm long, 2055 mm wide, 1790 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3100 mm. The car features a distinctive “squared” design with polygonal convex wheel arches (or rather, overlays) and high ground clearance. In essence, it’s not even a crossover, but a real SUV! Although, it is possible that on the way to the conveyor the car will receive not such a bold design.

At the heart of the Kia EV9 is the E-GMP platform, created by Hyundai Motor for electric vehicles. It implies an 800-volt architecture, which allows charging at a power of up to 350 kW. This means that from 10 to 80% the car can be “refueled” in just 20 minutes.
Weighing more than 2 tons, the Kia EV9 accelerates to “hundred” in just 5 seconds. The 77 kWh battery is enough for 483 km of range.

Inside, of interest – a futuristic rectangular steering wheel, a 27-inch multimedia screen, and the ability to rotate all seats 180 degrees.
