Cybercar for urban travel with a name as if from the Musk family

French startup presents an unusual electric vehicle

French company ÆMotion has developed a compact electric vehicle that is even smaller in size than the Renault Twizy. This unusual vehicle has four wheels but is controlled using a handlebar, like a motorcycle. The car’s width is only 790 mm, making it ideal for navigating narrow city streets.

A feature of the model is the ability to lean up to 35 degrees during turns, like a motorcycle. The car is equipped with scissor doors and a roof for protection from precipitation. There are two battery options: a stationary one with a range of 200 km and a removable one with a range of 70 km.

ÆMotion claims that four wheels provide greater stability compared to conventional motorcycles, reducing the risk of accidents.

Technical features

The electric vehicle’s maximum speed is 115 km/h, although its primary purpose is maneuvering in urban traffic. Operating this vehicle requires a standard category B driver’s license. According to preliminary information, the rental cost could be around 200 euros per month.

The car’s design resembles a miniature Tesla Cybertruck, with characteristic sharp angles. Interestingly, the company name ÆMotion uses the ligature æ, which has an ancient history in the Latin language. Although the vehicle is enclosed, it has an opening for the legs, which looks somewhat unusual.

This project demonstrates how approaches to urban mobility are changing. Compact dimensions and electric traction make it a potentially attractive option for megacities, where traditional cars often prove too bulky. However, the question of the safety and practicality of such a solution still requires further study.
