Cybertruck returned from Tesla service with 26,000 fewer miles on odometer, but that’s not the only problem

Issues with Tesla Cybertruck after service

A Tesla Cybertruck owner encountered unexpected problems after visiting a service center. Instead of fixing minor issues, the vehicle was returned with new defects, including a reset odometer showing zero miles despite previously having over 26,000 miles.

“My CyberBeast went in for a ‘spa day’ and came out as a newborn with a crooked gaze and a missing part,” the owner shared.

Additional flaws after repair

Besides the odometer issue, the vehicle had unevenly installed lighting panels, missing underbody protection, and loose interior components. The owner even recorded a video showing the odometer changing from 0 to 1 mile while leaving the service center.

This incident involved the most expensive Cybertruck version—the Cyberbeast, priced over $100,000. So far, Tesla’s service center has not provided an explanation for the odometer reset or addressed all the identified issues.

Such incidents raise concerns about the service quality of premium electric vehicles. What’s particularly striking is that even after returning to the service center, some defects remained unresolved, which could impact customer trust in the brand.
