In Kyiv, there are 400 cars per 1000 inhabitants. According to Auto-Consulting, this is one and a half times more than the average in Ukraine and almost at the level of European indicators.
For comparison, in Poland there are 571 cars per 1000 inhabitants, in Germany – 555, and in Finland – 604. Meanwhile, the average in Ukraine is only 245. The world leader in this indicator is the USA, with over 800 cars per 1000 people.

In the ranking of Ukrainian regions, Volyn region unexpectedly took second place (314 cars per 1000 people). It is followed by Kyiv region (311 cars), Zaporizhzhia (300), Kirovohrad (271), and Rivne regions (269). However, in Lviv, Chernihiv, and Zakarpattia regions, there are less than 200 cars per 1000 inhabitants.
However, Ukraine’s car fleet is the oldest in Europe. The average age of cars is 22.7 years, while across the continent this figure is 10.8 years.
