In China, at the International Internet Conference, the new Hongqi HS7 was showcased. The creators call the crossover an alternative to the BMW X5.
As is known, the Hongqi brand is primarily renowned for its expensive government limousines. Some of them cost a million dollars. However, the Hongqi HS7 is not that case, as the Chinese crossover can be purchased for 280,000 yuan ($40,000), which is the price of a Toyota Camry.
The vehicle is built on the units of the Hongqi H7 sedan, which, in turn, was created based on the platform of the old Toyota Crown. The over 5-meter-long SUV draws attention with its Maybach-style grille.
