Beijing BJ80 in the spirit of the extreme G-Wagen was named BJ80 Portal. It differs from the regular BJ80 not only with its lifted suspension (ground clearance – 48 cm!) and impressive ground clearance, but also with portal axles, like the ‘original’ German SUV.
As previously reported by TopGir, the Chinese copy of the Mercedes G-Class costs as much as a used G-Wagen. As for the clone of the G500 4×4², its price has not yet been announced, but we think it’s one and a half to two times more expensive than the ‘usual’ copy from China. Recall that the Mercedes four-by-four ‘in the square’ can be bought in Europe for at least 200+ thousand euros.

So, as for the Beijing BJ80 Portal, it uses portal axles like the Unimog. The engine is a gasoline turbo engine with a volume of 3.0 liters. The fenders are made of carbon, plus there are extended arches, 20-inch off-road tires, and adjustable suspension.

According to the Chinese company, the version with portal axles can ford depths of up to 1.1 meters. The approach angle is 54.8°, and the departure angle is 48°.
