by A new Wey V72 debuted at the Chengdu Auto Show. The original crossover from the premium brand Great Wall undoubtedly attracted everyone’s attention.
The fact is that the Wey V72 is designed in the style of the 40s-50s. To us, it painfully resembles the GAZ-M20 Pobeda – especially in profile. It has the same sloping roof, round headlights, and pronounced fenders. And also a lot of chrome.
However, the interior looks quite modern. There’s a virtual dashboard, a touchscreen, and a separate display for the front passenger.
The Chinese crossover is a “mild” hybrid. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter 214-horsepower turbo four complemented by a small 48-volt electric motor.
