The Chinese continue to amaze with the pace of conquering the automotive world, and this time they have once again made a serious bid for victory. Thus, manufacturer Dongfeng presented a luxury minivan under the premium brand Voyah.
The Voyah minivan received the working name MPV, but the car displays a Chinese inscription that can be translated as “Dreamer,” which gives grounds to believe that the luxury “bus” will be named Dreamer.
Among the competitors of the Chinese novelty are models such as the Lexus LM and Toyota Alphard, on whose base Lexus is made. Also reminded of is the Maybach Viano. The length of the Voyah Dreamer is 5.3 meters. Despite the impressive size and body type, in this case, we have not a 7-seater (or more) but a four-seater vehicle (two VIP chairs are located closer to the rear).
If we talk about the appearance – very nice. However, the epidemic of gigantic BMW nostrils is apparently spreading as well as COVID…
For passengers, there are massagers, stands for it, separate screens, a refrigerator, a panoramic roof, a large TV, and even a “starry” sky, like in a Rolls-Royce. Additionally, the Dreamer interior is adorned with “rose gold” inserts.
The Voyah Dreamer will go on sale in 2022. The price is currently unknown. However, there is information about the engines. The minivan will be available as an all-wheel-drive electric car or a sequential hybrid (the internal combustion engine operates only in generator mode to recharge the battery). The declared characteristics state that the purely electric version accelerates to the first 100 km per hour in less than 6 seconds. The range is 500 km, while the hybrid’s range is 860 km. The Voyah minivan will appear on sale next year, and in 2023 the premium brand lineup will be supplemented by a sedan. Dongfeng has not yet disclosed its export plans.
