In China, a new crossover called Hunkt Canticie was introduced. The car painfully resembles a Range Rover but costs only 126,800 yuan ($18,100) in the base version.
The Chinese clone of the Range Rover was developed by copying masters from Zotye, but then all developments were transferred to the Hunkt company. The car has a familiar silhouette, and the front part is designed in the spirit of the Range Rover.
However, the interior is done in traditional Chinese style.
The Hunkt Canticie features a large virtual dashboard and a big multimedia touchscreen. Moreover, there are even displays for the rear passengers. Not worse than a real Range Rover!
In terms of performance, the Chinese copy, of course, falls short of its British prototype. It will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine producing 220 hp and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The drive will only be rear-wheel, so the Hunkt Canticie will lose to the Range Rover in the mud.
