Company Hongqi presented images and a model of its new L4. The luxury sedan is expected to appear at the end of this year or the beginning of the next year.
The new Hongqi L4 is the younger brother of the flagship L5, which costs about a million dollars. The design is done in a retro style – in the spirit of old Hongqi CA770 (like Mao Zedong’s). The car features a broad chrome grille, and the rear doors open against the movement.
In the interior, expensive leather and wood are combined with a virtual dashboard and a large touchscreen in the Tesla style. Naturally, the equipment will include a four-zone climate control and power seats.
The luxurious Chinese sedan will receive a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with a power of about 400 hp.
The Hongqi L4 is likely to receive a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
