Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Sets New Speed Records with Ease

This Swedish supercar is among the fastest production cars in history, having recently set a world speed record on the half-mile distance. While the Rimac Nevera might win in a standing start acceleration, at high speeds the Jesko has no equal.

Driven by a test pilot and equipped with a GPS measurement system, the Jesko Absolut reaches 100 km/h in 2.79 seconds. An impressive result for a car with 1600 horsepower transmitted only to the rear wheels on regular pavement.

When the power is fully utilized, the car accelerates from 100 to 200 km/h in 2.74 seconds, and from 200 to 300 km/h in just 3.96 seconds. The quarter mile was covered in 8.88 seconds at a speed of 291 km/h, and the half mile – in 13.27 seconds, reaching 359.83 km/h, which became a new world record.

The most impressive thing is the perfectly tuned launch control system. Despite the power and rear-wheel drive, the car launches with almost no wheelspin.

In tests at the Koenigsegg factory, the Jesko Absolut easily outperformed the Bugatti Chiron, which previously held the record in the 0-400-0 km/h discipline. This title now belongs to the Swedish supercar.
