The metro in Kyiv may be closed again if the capital enters the red quarantine zone. This was stated by the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko, in an interview with ‘Today’.
Viktor Lyashko reported that the red level of epidemiological danger implies two points – the restriction of public transport movement and the ban on boarding intercity and interregional transport.
Accordingly, if Kyiv enters the red zone, not only the metro may be closed, but also the movement of suburban trains and intercity buses may be banned. It is not certain that such restrictions will necessarily be introduced, but this option is not excluded.
