A Meeting of Automotive Leaders
The heads of three renowned sports car manufacturers gathered at the Top Gear headquarters for a unique test drive. Mate Rimac handled the Koenigsegg CC850 and Singer DLS models with incredible confidence, as if he had stolen them. A limited-edition Bugatti Mistral also appeared on the track alongside the Nevera R.

For years, Mate Rimac and Christian von Koenigsegg have competed for world records, but they also feel a deep mutual respect and admiration for each other’s developments. So, when Top Gear invited them to test drive each other’s cars, they were amazed by what they discovered.

A Series of Unique Test Drives
This footage is part of a Top Gear series where the heads of hypercar manufacturers test each other’s cars. Last year, Rimac and Koenigsegg shared the track with John Hennessey, driving the Jesko Attack, Nevera, and Venom F5 Revolution models. This time, they were joined by Rob Dickinson, the founder of Singer, which creates some of the world’s most desired Porsche reinterpretations.
A Unique Gearbox
Koenigsegg brought its latest model, the CC850. Mate Rimac was the first to get behind the wheel and immediately showed great interest in its mechanical six-speed gearbox, which also functions as an automatic. Accustomed to fast cars, Rimac is not afraid to instantly test the limits of the car’s capabilities and feel how classic the transmission is.
Impressions of Other Models
Rob Dickinson also enjoyed driving the CC850, after which Christian joined Mate for a ride in the limited-series Bugatti Mistral. Both also had the opportunity to drive one of the incredible Singer DLS 911 models. Although it is not a hypercar, it offers many similar driving emotions. Mate particularly praises the transmission and mentions that he has already ordered his own Singer.
Demonstration of the Nevera R
At the end of the video, he gets a chance to demonstrate the new Nevera R. While it doesn’t have the same emotional character as the CC850 or Singer DLS, it offers a completely different level of performance on the straight.
This event is a reminder of how quickly the automotive industry is evolving, combining classic technologies with innovations. Each of these cars represents a unique approach to speed, design, and driving pleasure, making them incomparable in their categories.
