Peugeot Polygon Concept Proclaims That the Future 208 Model is Capable of Forever Changing the World of Compact Cars

Peugeot Polygon Concept: A Look into the Future

Peugeot has unveiled the Polygon concept, which lifts the veil on the brand’s future design and technologies. This car hints at the future 208 model, expected in 2027.

Design and Technologies

The overall design language, including a tight waistline, wide shoulders, and a large glass surface, indicates the development direction not only for the 208 but for all future Peugeot models. Although the long gullwing doors will be replaced with conventional ones in the production version, many elements, such as the three-claw light signature, may be retained.

Next-Generation Interior

Special attention is paid to the updated i-Cockpit interior, where the entire front part of the cabin transforms into an instrument panel and infotainment system, equivalent to a 31-inch display.

Innovative Steering Wheel

The square Hypersquare steering wheel is equipped with four round modules with main controls. Steer-by-wire technology allows reducing the number of steering wheel turns during parking to less than one.

Peugeot confirms that this is not just a concept: the steering wheel and steer-by-wire technology will be implemented in a production model by 2027.

This design approach and the use of advanced technologies could significantly impact the compact car market, offering drivers a new level of comfort and functionality. The use of eco-friendly materials and the focus on energy efficiency also align with modern automotive industry trends, making future Peugeot models even more attractive to buyers.
