In South Korea, the new Genesis GV80 was officially unveiled. The first premium crossover from Hyundai will challenge the Lexus RX and Volvo XC90.
The new Genesis GV80 was previously unveiled, so its design was not a sensation. The car has a huge radiator grille and split front and rear LED optics.
The interior features leather and wood trim. The Genesis GV80 has a virtual dashboard and a 14.5-inch touchscreen. Instead of an automatic transmission lever, there is a rotary dial.
Noise-cancellation is provided by an active sound control system.
The basic configuration of the Genesis GV80 includes 10 airbags, and among the options are heating and ventilation of all seats, adaptive cruise control with learning function, technologies for automatic braking, semi-autonomous driving, blind spot monitoring, and driver fatigue monitoring.
The Genesis GV80 crossover debuts with a 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine producing 278 hp and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Later, gasoline turbo engines with capacities of 2.5 liters (300 hp) and 3.5 liters (375 hp) will be available. The drive can be rear or all-wheel.
