The Transcarpathian customs published an explanation on Facebook, stating that there will be no fines for exceeding the temporary import period. The fact is that, according to the new law of March 17, quarantine is considered force majeure. If the 30-day temporary import period ends between March 12 and April 24, you need to apply to customs with a statement.

The statement should include:

– Owner’s full name;
– Car registration number;
– Date of temporary importation of the car;
– Checkpoint through which the vehicle was imported;
– Reason for extending the temporary import period;
– Owner’s phone and email. Along with the statement, you should submit:

– A scanned copy of the car’s registration documents;
– A scanned copy of the passport documents used for customs formalities related to the car. After reviewing the statement and documents, a decision from customs will be sent to your email.
