The fact is that at the Icon studio, the old American coupe was equipped with two electric motors with a total power of 400 hp and a maximum torque of 635 Nm. The 1949 Mercury should be very fast.

The Tesla Model S shared its 85 kWh battery. According to preliminary data, the range is from 240 to 320 km, and the electric car can be charged from the Tesla Supercharger network in 90 minutes. 
The 1949 Mercury coupe was also restored and its interior completely reupholstered. A virtual dashboard with retro-style graphics was added. Interestingly, the batteries under the hood are styled like an American V8, and the charging port is hidden behind the fuel filler door.
