Iconic Sports Car BMW Z8 Returned to Production

The American company Smit Vehicle Engineering has presented the impressive Oletha Coupe. In essence, this is a modern version of the famous BMW Z8, only in a coupe body.

It’s no secret that the BMW Z8 was exclusively a roadster. However, its legendary predecessor BMW 507 was also offered as a coupe.

The Oletha Coupe is very similar in profile to the BMW 507. The design is kept in the spirit of the BMW Z8 – here you have the split kidney grille, teardrop headlights, and slim taillights.

It is known that the car is based on the BMW Z4, while the 4.4-liter 450-horsepower V8 was borrowed from the BMW M3 E92. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Oletha Coupe is equipped with a limited-slip differential, adjustable KW suspension, and AP Racing brakes. The sports car is planned to be produced to order in small series.
