In the USA, cool retro cars have been found abandoned once again. A 1965 Ford Falcon, a 1971 Plymouth Road Runner, and a rare 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 have been gathering dust for decades in an old garage in Iowa.
The Shelby GT500 is of the greatest value, as only 2500 of these coupes were produced. Judging by the stickers on the windshield, the coupe last hit the road in 1974.
The 1967 Shelby GT500 was covered in a layer of dust, but when it was washed off, it turned out the car was in more or less decent condition.
It’s notable that the coupe was later decided to be retrofitted with an air conditioner, requiring a redesign of the front panel.
The charged Ford Mustang is equipped with a 7.0-liter 355-hp V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and is capable of reaching 214 km/h.
