A 1968 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, which appeared in the music video for the song Peaches by Canadian singer Justin Bieber, has been put up for an online auction in the United States. Currently, the highest bid for the car is $45,000, although the reserve price has not yet been met. Hemmings reports.
This particular Cadillac appeared in the Peaches music video, which was released in 2021 and has garnered over 860 million views on YouTube. In addition to Justin Bieber, performers Daniel Caesar and Giveon also appeared in the clip.
Cadillac Coupe DeVille from the Peaches video features air suspension
The car is equipped with an original 7.7-liter gasoline V8 engine. In its new condition, this engine produced 375 hp and operates in conjunction with a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 automatic transmission.
The owner reports that the powertrain has no issues with starting or operation. At the same time, the car has received a number of modifications, including a custom dual exhaust system and aluminum valve covers.
Notably, the car features electronically controlled air suspension on all wheels. It includes two compressors, a nearly 19-liter receiver tank, ASCO solenoids, and additional pressure sensors.
Justin Bieber’s car retains its original interior
The coupe body has been repainted black, though the model originally came from the factory in white. Meanwhile, the interior with red vinyl trim matches the car’s original specification.
Inside, an audio system with Bluetooth support has been installed, replacing the stock radio. Large speakers of a custom audio system have also been mounted in the trunk.
The car’s odometer shows 10,427 miles, which corresponds to approximately 16,780 km. Among the known shortcomings, the seller notes a crack on the dashboard, wear on the steering wheel, and worn decorative trim on the instrument panel.
Proceeds from the car’s sale are planned to be directed to supporting the No Name Necessary charity foundation, which helps people battling breast cancer.
