Chinese Miniature Ram TRX, Smaller Than a Full Car, Costs Less Than a Set of Hellcat Wheels

Chinese Electric Golf Cart Copy of RAM TRX: A Budget Option for Fans

If you are a RAM TRX fan but on a limited budget, owning such a vehicle may be unattainable. After all, nothing with 700 horsepower comes cheap. Nevertheless, there are interesting alternatives, like this 2025 Henan Seabiscuit. Technically registered as a golf cart, it is legal for use on public roads.

It is probably terrible for playing golf but great for getting around the local community. Someone just bought it for a cool $3,900. That is less than a set of wheels and tires for a real TRX or Hellcat might cost.

Unusual Equipment for a Minimal Price

This figure is particularly impressive considering what is actually included in the package. Unlike most golf carts that barely offer a roof and a cup holder, this one has power windows, power door locks, a digital instrument cluster, a Bluetooth infotainment system, and even air conditioning. Yes, air conditioning in a golf cart that costs less than many spend on modifying their cars.

Design Inspired by the RAM TRX

The body is made of fiberglass and is clearly inspired by the full-size RAM TRX. It features the same massive front end, square wheel arches, a bulky hood, and even a scaled-down pickup truck bed at the rear. The interior is much less RAM-like than the exterior, but some design elements still mimic the pickup.

Nevertheless, this is probably not the optimal golf cart. The body seems to have no provisions for the sport, nor does the interior. Furthermore, quickly hopping in and out is no longer possible since there are doors that need to be opened and closed.

Auction Reaction and Actual Condition

Auction commentators were divided: some were impressed, others frightened. One of the most popular comments joked that under the hood there is “absolutely nothing,” while another said this cart makes the Chevy Cavalier look like a “thoroughly engineered vehicle.”

They weren’t entirely wrong. The listing noted paint chips, corrosion, worn seats, deformed door panels, loose wiring, and a steering wheel that looked much older than the stated 100 miles on the odometer. Even so, several commenters noted that recreating the TRX-style interior at this scale likely took significant effort and equipment.

Technical Specifications and Summary

Under the cartoonishly aggressive body hides a single 3 kW electric motor driving the rear wheels. It can reportedly reach speeds of up to 30 mph and has a range of about 30 miles. Honestly, for $3,900, this is probably one of the coolest little vehicles you could use for any purpose.

Photos Cars&Bids

This unusual golf cart, while amusing in its appearance and questionable quality, actually demonstrates an interesting trend. Chinese manufacturers are increasingly creating affordable copies of iconic vehicles, adapting them for urban use. Even though the Henan Seabiscuit is hardly a serious alternative to a real RAM TRX, it offers a unique way to derive aesthetic pleasure from owning a “powerful” vehicle for minimal money. It also serves as a reminder that even in the world of electric cars and golf carts, there is room for humor and creativity, and most importantly, for affordable transportation with unexpected features like air conditioning.
