Maritime Embodiment of the Brand’s Character
Lamborghini has always demonstrated its character, and this collaboration can be considered the brightest maritime manifestation of this trait. The Tecnomar for Lamborghini 101FT boat, presented at the Monaco Yacht Show, is 101 feet (30 meters) long and designed to attract attention. This floating vehicle makes a supercar seem tiny and reminds us that in certain circles, size really does matter.
Development of the Collaboration
This is not Lamborghini’s first collaboration experience with Italian Sea Group. They previously presented the Tecnomar 63 model, and now they have used the same formula, but on a larger scale. The signature style of Sant’Agata is obvious in the hexagonal lines that adorn the 101FT. The design clearly borrows features from the new Fenomeno model, including the Y-shaped lighting.
Technical Specifications
The technical part is handled by a trio of MTU 16V2000 M96L engines with a total power of 7600 horsepower. This allows the yacht to reach speeds of up to 45 knots (83 km/h) or cruise at a speed of 35 knots (65 km/h). For yachts, such performance is equivalent to that of a supercar, but with the addition of a sundeck and guest cabins.
Interior and Features
The interior also borrows many elements from Lamborghini’s styling. Hexagonal shapes, bright colors, special stitching, and even a bull statue are present here. The seats on the bridge look as if they were taken directly from a Lamborghini supercar, as does the instrument panel. The yacht provides cabins for three crew members and nine guest cabins. It is important to note that all presented images are renders, and only a scale model was displayed at the show in Monaco.
Future Plans
Lamborghini and Italian Sea Group have not yet started construction of these yachts. Deliveries are planned for 2027, and pricing information is currently unavailable. If we consider the Technomar Lamborghini 63 model, we can expect a price significantly above $10 million. Used examples of the 63 model can cost half as much, but they do not offer comparable space and amenities.
The emergence of such a project demonstrates the growing demand for exclusive luxury items that combine high technology with unique design. For many buyers, such yachts become not only a means of transportation but also an important tool for social communication and a confirmation of status. The success of the collaboration between the automotive brand and the shipbuilding company may stimulate similar partnerships in the future.
