Lancia Prepares the Return of the Iconic Delta HF Integrale Model

Lancia has officially confirmed plans to revive the iconic HF sports line—and the main event will be the appearance of the new Lancia Delta HF Integrale as early as next year. This news delighted brand fans, as the legendary Delta HF Integrale in its time conquered the world of rallying and the hearts of motorists on both sides of the steering wheel.

Recall that the first generation Delta from the late 1970s was initially created as a family hatchback but became famous on the WRC tracks, winning six Constructors’ Cups and four titles in the drivers’ championship. The road versions with the HF Integrale index were practically indistinguishable from the competition cars: aggressive shapes, a powerful engine, and the iconic all-wheel-drive transmission. It is no wonder that today these cars have become true collectible treasures, and upgraded restomods cost even more.

As part of the new phase of development for the HF sports line, Lancia has already introduced the electric hot hatch Ypsilon HF. However, the information that the next Delta HF Integrale will appear earlier than expected—in 2026—caused the biggest resonance. Given the updated strategy of the Stellantis concern, the new model will likely receive not an electric but a hybrid powertrain, which will allow preserving the character of the legendary model and not making it too heavy.

It is also worth mentioning other Lancia initiatives: the racing versions Ypsilon HF Racing and Ypsilon Rally 4 HF for the junior classes of rally championships have already been presented, and a sports HF version of the new Lancia Gamma crossover is expected in 2026.

The revival of the Delta HF Integrale is not just a return of the name, but also an attempt to revive the spirit of those times when Lancia cars dictated fashion in the world of motorsport and inspired an entire generation of drivers. And although the new Delta will be more modern and larger than its predecessor, the main thing is that the brand is once again speaking the language of speed, drive, and emotion.
