Lancia will revive the iconic Delta model as an electric car

Lancia CEO Luca Napolitano announced in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra that in a few years the iconic Delta will return to the brand’s lineup. And most likely, including the revived legends like the Delta HF Integrale and even the prototype Delta Evoluzione III.

“Everyone wants the Delta, so we can’t exclude it from our plans,” says Luca Napolitano. “It will return—and it will be the true Delta: an emotional car, a manifesto of progress and technology. Naturally, with an electric powertrain.”

This is what the revived Lancia Delta might look like, according to designer Sebastiano Ciarcia

Rumors suggest that the revived Lancia Delta electric car will be based on the STLA Medium platform, which implies a battery capacity of 87–104 kilowatt-hours, a range of up to 700 kilometers, and a motor power of 125–180 kilowatts (170–245 horsepower).
