As Vadym Navrotskyi, an activist of the retro movement, reported, Ukrainian volunteers in Italy reached out to the organizers of Mille Miglia 2022 for support. They couldn’t refuse, and now all retro cars feature Ukrainian stickers. Furthermore, some cars compete with blue and yellow flags.
The Mille Miglia is one of the most famous races in the world. It has been held in the Italian province of Brescia since 1927, and the distance covers 1600 km (1000 miles – hence the name of the race). However, it has now turned into a retro car rally.
