Model Popularity
The updated Lexus GX has been successful for the brand, with sales increasing by an impressive 35.7% since the beginning of the year. In the first nine months of the year, 28,244 units were sold, making this SUV almost as popular as the ES model.
No Changes for 2026
The model is now released as a 2026 version, but no updates have been made. This is somewhat unexpected, considering that even the 2025 version received a number of minor improvements, including an adjustable steering wheel and a 25 mm increase in ground clearance for the Overtrail modification.

Price Increase
The specifications and design remain unchanged, but the starting price is now $66,935. This is $750 higher than last year and includes a $1,450 delivery fee, which has not changed.
The price increase applies to all versions of the model and is quite significant. The reason is likely tariffs, as the GX is imported from the company’s Tahara plant in Japan.
Standard Equipment
Since nothing has changed, let’s recall that the GX comes with standard equipment such as LED headlights, power liftgate, and a sunroof. Additionally, buyers get 20-inch wheels and a tow hitch capable of handling up to 9,096 lbs (4,126 kg).
Interior and Technology
The luxurious cabin is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch multimedia system. Also present are a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats with NuLuxe upholstery. Additional benefits include an ambient lighting system and a ten-speaker audio system.
Safety Systems
The GX is equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 driver assistance package. It includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, road sign recognition, and a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection.
The model also features proactive driving assist, lane departure warning with steering assist, blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and an intuitive parking system with automatic braking.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood is a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 349 hp (260 kW) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque. It is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
This configuration allows the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0–96 km/h) in 6.5 seconds, with a top speed of 109 mph (175 km/h). Fuel consumption is 15 mpg in the city, 21 on the highway, and 17 combined.

The price increase for the Lexus GX may affect its competitiveness in the market, especially among buyers looking for alternatives in the premium segment. However, given the sales growth, it can be assumed that demand for this model remains high, despite the lack of updates. This indicates that the GX continues to attract customers with its reliability, technology, and ability to remain relevant even without significant changes in design or functionality.
