Lexus Showcases New Supercar at the Goodwood Festival
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Lexus showed prototypes of its new flagship supercar. Although the car is still camouflaged, its aggressive design and powerful technical specifications are already visible. Key features include:
Work on this project has been ongoing for several years – the first hints of the new model appeared back in 2022 with the GR GT3 concept. Now Lexus is preparing both road and racing versions, which are set to replace the current RC F GT3.
Technical Expectations
Despite the lack of official power data, experts suggest the new model could receive over 800 hp. This significantly exceeds the figures of its predecessors – for example, the LFA model with a V10 engine had only 553 hp.
In a world where downsized hybrid sports cars are becoming increasingly common, this V8 monster will be a pleasant exception
The design of both versions includes a large radiator grille and a long hood concealing the powerful engine. The road version received four exhaust pipes and a small spoiler, while the racing variant is equipped with a massive rear wing and an aggressive front splitter.
The official presentation is expected to take place by the end of 2025 or early 2026. This project demonstrates that Lexus continues to invest in high-performance cars with large engines, despite the general trend towards downsizing. Of particular interest is how the engineers combined a traditional V8 with modern hybrid technologies.
