Do you think Zelensky is the most unexpected candidate for the presidency? Not anymore, as the leader of the public organization ‘Avto Euro Sila’, Oleg Yaroshevich, has announced his desire to run for the top post in the country.
The organizer of protests for the legalization of cars with Euro plates announced his intention on Facebook. Yaroshevich explained this decision by his desire to complete his mission of reducing customs clearance costs and considers that only as president will he have the necessary means to influence this (though customs policy is still the responsibility of the Cabinet). The leader of Avto Euro Sila also believes that Ukraine needs a change of elites.
He announced that he would negotiate with other candidates to include the provision for cheap customs clearance in their programs (presumably in exchange for his support). https://www.facebook.com/AESUkraine/videos/2459325270775298/
Also in the new candidate’s program is a single window for customs clearance of cars with Euro plates and the introduction of a mechanism for the legal presence of non-cleared cars in Ukraine. We’d like to add that it would be helpful to include in the program a promise to produce old Audi A6 C5 station wagons at ZAZ. However, there is one nuance: registration of a candidate requires a deposit of 2.5 million hryvnias. Therefore, Oleg Yaroshevich suggests that his like-minded supporters pitch in.
Interestingly, if elected, will his presidential car be on Euro plates too?
