by The winners of the North American Car of the Year contest have been announced. The winners in three categories were chosen by a jury of 60 auto journalists from the USA and Canada. 
The best car of 2020, according to Americans, is the new Chevrolet Corvette C8. The sports car surpassed the Hyundai Sonata and Toyota Supra. The jury appreciated the Corvette’s design, interior quality, and dynamic characteristics, and also noted that European competitors are much more expensive.
Among crossovers, the winner was the Kia Telluride, surpassing the Hyundai Palisade and Lincoln Aviator. In the pickup class, the best was recognized as the Jeep Gladiator, with the Ford Ranger and Ram Heavy Duty taking prize places. Recall that last year’s winners were the Genesis G70 sedan, Hyundai Kona crossover, and Ram 1500 pickup.
