The person who created the Ferrari SF90 is now working on an Alpine competitor for this model

Alpine is preparing a powerful hypercar

The French automaker Alpine aims to establish itself in the world of high-performance cars. After presenting an electric crossover, the company announced an even more impressive novelty – a 1000 hp hypercar set to debut in 2028. This model will compete with the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and Lamborghini Revuelto.

The idea of creating a supercar emerged after the Alpenglow concept was showcased, and now Renault’s leadership, headed by Luca de Meo, has confirmed the project’s launch. Unlike competitors with V12 or V8 engines, Alpine will use a hybrid powertrain: a gasoline V6 for the rear wheels and two electric motors at the front.

This car has three goals: elevate Alpine’s image, serve as an innovation lab, and be a profitable business

Technical features

Philippe Krief, head of Alpine, who previously contributed to the development of the Ferrari 458 Italia and Alfa Romeo Giulia, is confident in the project’s success. Although there are no specific images of the car yet, the success of the A390 design suggests a harmonious look for the future hypercar.

Launching such a model is not only a matter of prestige but also an opportunity to test new technologies for future production vehicles. At the same time, for a small brand like Alpine, creating a hypercar is a bold move that could draw attention to the entire lineup.
