Mazda and Changan unveiled the sports version of the EZ-6 for the Chinese market
Mazda, together with the Chinese company Changan, introduced the sports version of the EZ-6 sedan, known in Western markets as the Mazda 6e. The model received a more aggressive design with black exterior elements, 19-inch wheels, and red brake calipers.
The interior features premium materials, red ambient lighting, and a signature grille on the console. The technical setup includes a 14.6-inch multimedia screen, AR projection on the windshield, and a 14-speaker Sony audio system.
The sports version was jointly developed by Mazda and Changan in China with the participation of Mazda’s European division
It is currently unknown whether this version will receive additional performance enhancements or only exterior and interior changes. The European market may get a similar version but with an electric powertrain, while hybrid options are also available in China.
Production for all markets is carried out at Changan’s facilities, which helps optimize costs and offer different technical solutions for specific regions. Details about the European version are expected to be announced in the coming months.
