Less than 50 old Tesla Model Ys remain, standard Juniper launch imminent

So far, the Model Y Juniper has only been available in the Launch Edition version in the US.

However, the stock of the previous version of the Model Y is quickly diminishing, with very few cars left for sale.

It is likely that Tesla is preparing to release the “regular” versions of the updated Model Y in the US.

Time is running out for those still waiting for the previous version of the Model Y – whether for its appearance or the impressive discounts, which can reach nearly $9,000. A few cars remain, but currently, fewer than 50 are available across the entire US, indicating that the regular Model Y Juniper could soon appear. Naturally, this number has fluctuated since the beginning of the weekend, ranging between 40 and 190, so it’s still too early to relax.

Early adopters have already had the opportunity to try Juniper, but until now it has been limited to the Launch Edition version. And, as expected from something called “Launch Edition,” it is not cheap. The base price of this version is $59,990. You pay a premium for all extra options – think special paint colors and the Full Self-Driving option for $7,500, which is included at no extra cost. But at least you get all possible luxuries.

Elsewhere in the world, “regular” versions of the updated Model Y are already available, but in the US, Model Y buyers only have two options: they can pay more for the fully equipped Juniper Launch Edition, or purchase one of the remaining old versions still in Tesla’s inventory, as orders for the previous version model are not being accepted.

According to reports, only 43 previous version cars remain in the country, and logically, Tesla must be preparing for the launch of the “regular” Model Y Juniper. Undoubtedly, interested buyers will be pleased with this news.

The updated Model Y has significantly changed its appearance. The dimensions are almost identical, but the exterior styling is dramatically different. The new model uses nearly the same lighting design as and the lines are more streamlined. The cabin has also been updated with higher-quality materials, more screens, LEDs, new ventilated front seats, and other improvements.

Anyone still counting on a bargain for the old version must act urgently. There are no more Standard Range versions left, but there are still 10 Long Range AWD and 33 Performance variants scattered across the country, with discounts ranging from $1,610 to $8,750.

As we mentioned earlier, the old 470 hp Model Y Performance is incredibly fast and very practical. And, for such a price as $32k, if you qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit, plus any additional state incentives for EVs, it is essentially a good deal for the product received. So, if you’re still hesitating, now might be the time to grab one while they are available, unless you are absolutely captivated by Juniper.
