Mercedes introduced the new CLA with a more functional design

Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake: new details

The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake was spotted during testing at the Nürburgring. This version, expected on the market later this year, differs from the regular sedan with a more practical station wagon body type.

Technical features

The electric versions of the CLA Shooting Brake will receive an 85 kWh battery. The most powerful modification with two motors and all-wheel drive will have a range of up to 792 km according to the WLTP standard, although the station wagon may show slightly lower figures due to increased weight.

These powertrains provide the sedan with a range of up to 492 miles (792 km), but we wouldn’t be surprised if the additional weight of the station wagon slightly reduces this figure.

Design and interior

The car’s exterior is executed in the modern Mercedes-Benz style with a long sloping roof and characteristic LED headlights. The interior is expected to feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch multimedia system, and an expanded list of standard equipment.

The main advantage of the station wagon should be the increased luggage compartment. While the sedan offers only 405 liters of cargo space, the new version promises to be significantly more spacious.

Final technical specifications and premiere date remain unknown, but given active testing, the official presentation is expected soon. Mercedes-Benz continues to expand its model lineup, offering customers various body styles and powertrain options.
