Rare Singer DLS Prepares for Auction
In 2018, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Singer unveiled the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study (DLS) – a unique version of the restomodded Porsche 964. This car quickly became an icon, and one example was recently sold for $3 million. Now, another specimen is being put up for auction.
This is the very same car that debuted in 2018. It features a white color with light stripes and yellow details. After numerous magazine features, it was completely restored in 2023. It is now in excellent condition and has only driven about 850 miles.
Singer released only 75 examples of the DLS, and in the US, the base price for each was $1.8 million. With additional options, the cost could reach $2 million.
Technical Features
Under the hood, the Singer DLS has a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated engine from Williams Advanced Engineering producing 500 hp. It is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
This example originally had silver wheels but is now equipped with yellow Fuchs-style wheels. The interior is trimmed in leather in matching colors and also features numerous carbon fiber elements, including a custom gearshift tunnel.
Since all DLS cars were sold out before their release, the only way to become an owner of such a car is to buy it on the secondary market. Demand for these models remains high, which explains their auction value, which can exceed the price of supercars like the Koenigsegg Jesko.
