It would seem that the Volkswagen Lupo is not the model you’d want to tune for drag racing. Nevertheless, in Romania, a small hatchback has been transformed into a stormy dragster. 
Volkswagen Lupo is recognizable only by its signature round headlights. The car’s roof has been lowered, its wheel arches widened, and wide slicks installed. Now the Lupo has two 2.0-liter turbo engines—one at the front and one at the back.
Together they deliver a whopping 1800 hp, and each engine has a separate DSG dual-clutch transmission. The VW Lupo is now all-wheel-drive, although the video shows that road grip is still not ideal. However, it’s impressive on the drag strip—the car completed a quarter-mile run in 8.7 seconds at a speed of 273 km/h at the finish.
