by Mitsubishi is considering the possibility of reviving the iconic Lancer Evolution. The high-performance model will be created with the help of new partners from Renault-Nissan, reports Autocar. Recall, the Lancer Evo has not been produced since 2016. 
According to rumors, the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution will be related to the Renault Megane RS Trophy. The French hot hatch will lend its platform and 2.0-liter turbo engine.
However, the power will be increased to 341 hp, and the maximum torque to 433 Nm. The engine will be supplemented with a 48-volt “mild” hybrid system. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evo will also receive a dual-clutch transmission and a permanent all-wheel-drive S-AWC system.
