Maybach V12 Edition Model – as if from the garage of a villain from a James Bond movie

Presentation of the Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition

The Mercedes-Maybach company has introduced the new ultra-luxurious V12 Edition automobile. This model is distinguished by its two-tone exterior finish with thin stripes and 24-carat gold emblems. Golden accents are also present in the interior, notably in the form of an exclusive trim on the center console.

Inspiration and Design

The car, based on the Mercedes‑Maybach S 680, was inspired by the classic Maybach Zeppelin models and is positioned as the pinnacle of automotive art. Its exterior combines the metallic color of obsidian black with the Manufaktur olive metallic hue. The two colors are separated by a silvery metallic stripe, and the application of this unique paint takes up to ten working days, which is twice as long as the standard Maybach two-tone painting.

Exclusive Exterior Details

The model is also equipped with forged wheels in olive metallic color and special emblems on the C-pillars, which feature a chromed Maybach logo and a golden “12” badge. These emblems pay homage to the ornament on the hood of the Maybach Zeppelin DS 8. The manufacturer notes that the 24-carat gold medal ring is adorned with fine diamond engraving and has an insert with a V-shaped pattern.

Luxurious Interior

The interior continues the theme of luxury, executed in Manufaktur “saddle brown” Nappa leather combined with high-gloss walnut wood decor. Wood trim is even present on the steering wheel rim, requiring hours of meticulous manual labor. Additional elements include a diamond-quilted headliner, special embroidery, and a “1 of 50” badge on the center console. The rear center console is particularly impressive with its twelve golden circles and the Maybach 12 emblem. The creation of this complex insert takes up to seven working days.

Equipment and Technical Features

The car’s kit includes silver-plated champagne flutes and a handcrafted key box. A trunk mat with “saddle brown” piping that matches the interior is also provided. Among the technical advantages are power-operated rear doors, rear-axle steering, five screens, and active suspension.

Engine and Dynamics

As the name implies, the model is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine with two turbochargers, producing 603 hp and 900 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This allows the sedan, weighing 2365 kg, to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Availability and Production

Production of the model is limited to 50 units, and deliveries will begin this autumn. Price information is not disclosed, but the V12 Edition will only be available in limited markets.

This launch underscores the growing trend of creating exclusive, limited series for the highest market segment, where every detail becomes an object of art. The use of precious materials and manual labor not only enhances the car’s status but also demonstrates the manufacturer’s ability to combine modern technology with luxury traditions. The limited production run makes the model not just a means of transportation, but also a collectible object.
