The Possibility of Brian O’Conner’s Return in the Finale of the ‘Fast & Furious’ Franchise Thanks to CGI and Family

The Final ‘Fast & Furious’ Installment Returns to Its Roots

The last, eleventh film of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise will return to street racing, with Los Angeles being the main setting. Vin Diesel announced that the theatrical release is scheduled for April 2027. To recreate the image of Brian O’Conner, CGI and the assistance of Paul Walker’s brothers will likely be used.

During a performance at Fuel Fest in California, Diesel revealed details of the final part:

“I heard my fans. They asked for three things: to return the franchise to Los Angeles, to focus again on car culture and street racing, and to reunite Dom and Brian O’Conner. That is exactly what you will get!”

The Return of an Iconic Character

After Paul Walker’s death during the filming of the seventh installment, his character Brian O’Conner was “finished” using computer graphics and the participation of the actor’s brothers. A similar approach will likely be used in the new film, which may cause controversy among fans.

The franchise, which began as a story about street racing, has transformed into global spy adventures in recent years. Returning to its roots seems like a logical step to conclude the saga. Of particular interest is how the creators will handle O’Conner’s return – his farewell scene in the seventh part was one of the most emotional in the series.
