Unsuccessful Maneuvers by a Toyota RAV4 Driver Lead to a Series of Accidents
For some people, driving a car is a real ordeal. Poor eyesight, insufficient coordination, lack of spatial awareness, or other factors make the driving process difficult, unlike those who consider themselves car enthusiasts. It seems the driver of the Toyota RAV4, captured on video, is one of them.
This amusing surveillance footage is being actively shared on social media. It shows the driver of a light-blue, older model Toyota RAV4 pulling out into an intersection. After starting to move forward, he suddenly jumps out right in front of a white SUV, forcing it to brake hard to avoid a side collision.
The RAV4 driver’s subsequent actions are surprising. Instead of calmly exiting onto the road, he accelerates and begins a left turn but fails to follow the correct trajectory. The car drives onto the sidewalk, nearly hitting a large pole.
We were unable to find any additional recordings of the subsequent events, nor any details about the driver who caused this chaos. It remains unclear whether he was under the influence, if this was an extreme case of inexperience, or if something else was the matter.
A moment later, the driver starts reversing back onto the road, but seemingly without looking in the rearview mirrors. While moving backward, he crashes into the front of a silver sedan, which, in turn, pushes a white hatchback traveling in the opposite direction.
This is a truly strange scene, but it becomes even stranger when the RAV4 driver moves forward again and again over the curb onto the sidewalk.
Whatever the reason, a refresher course on basic driving skills would be appropriate before this RAV4 appears on public roads again.
This incident vividly illustrates how crucial the responsibility of every road user is. Such situations often arise due to haste, panic, or simple unawareness of one’s vehicle’s dimensions. Driving in the city, especially at intersections, requires constant concentration and anticipation of others’ actions. Even a minor mistake can trigger a chain reaction, as happened in the described case. Road safety depends on everyone, which is why it’s so important not only to follow the rules but also to be prepared for the unpredictable actions of other drivers.
