Italy has been suffering from bad weather in recent days. A severe storm and heavy rains have already led to serious destruction, landslides, and the death of 11 people.
The hurricane in Italy caused serious damage to the country’s automotive industry. More specifically, the Fiat group was affected. The bad weather caused a short circuit and, consequently, a major fire in a parking lot in the port of Savona.
Several hundred new cars from the group, including a batch of Maseratis intended for the Middle East, were burned in the fire. The expensive cars were just being prepared for loading onto a ship. The fire was fought all night. As you understand, the cars cannot be restored, meaning Fiat’s losses amount to millions of euros.
