The hurricane in Italy caused serious damage to the country’s automotive industry. More specifically, the Fiat group was affected. The bad weather caused a short circuit and, consequently, a major fire in a parking lot in the port of Savona.

Several hundred new cars from the group, including a batch of Maseratis intended for the Middle East, were burned in the fire. The expensive cars were just being prepared for loading onto a ship. The fire was fought all night. As you understand, the cars cannot be restored, meaning Fiat’s losses amount to millions of euros.
