A sad event occurred recently in Houston (USA). A powerful explosion destroyed the workshop for restoring Chevrolet Corvettes.
The explosion occurred at a welding station next to the Houston Corvette Service. At that time, there were 17 vintage Corvettes of various years of manufacture on the service premises, with a total value of one million dollars.
As the building is almost completely destroyed, all the cars were damaged. According to preliminary data, the damage is estimated at about 300-400 thousand dollars, but both the workshop and all the cars were insured.
The Chevrolet Corvettes are currently being freed from the rubble. The owner of the service center has already stated that all the cars will be restored.
By the way, this is not the first such event in the USA: a year ago, a gas explosion destroyed a collection of rare Porsches.
