The USA at the Mecum auction presented a White 3000 COE truck from 1951. The cab-over-engine tractor was designed by a Ukrainian. This was reported by Focus. The design of the White 3000 COE was developed by Ukrainian Count Oleksiy Sakhnovsky. His mother was the granddaughter of the famous sugar refinery owner Artem Tereshchenko, and his father was a descendant of Nikolai Gogol and Pavlo Polubotok. After the 1917 revolution, Oleksiy Sakhnovsky emigrated to Europe where he became an auto designer. Later, the count moved to the USA. His works for Packard, Cord, Nash, and Austin were distinguished by avant-garde streamlined style. Oleksiy Sakhnovsky began cooperating with the White company in 1935 – creating original buses and streamlined trucks. White 3000 COE was produced from 1949 to 1968. This particular truck was tuned – they changed the radiator grille, widened the track, and installed a new cargo platform. The White 3000 COE interior was decorated with leather and wood, as well as equipped with air conditioning, surround view cameras, and power windows. The truck was fitted with a 8.2-liter V8 Chevrolet engine producing 500 hp and an automatic transmission. Additionally, Chevrolet borrowed the suspension and installed disc brakes.
